Why a professional fitting helps
Shoe size charts only measure length, yet width, arch height and instep volume often decide whether a shoe is comfortable. A poorly fitting pair can cause blisters, rubbing, pressure on the toes or a heel that slips with every step. Over months, it can also contribute to aching feet at the end of the day.
Feet also change with age, weight, pregnancy and activity levels, so the size you wore years ago may no longer be right. A fitting with experienced shoemakers helps you understand your feet, not just a number. It is especially useful if you:
- Often find shoes too tight across the widest part of the foot.
- Are between sizes or have one foot noticeably larger.

Our standard ranges are men's sizes 38 to 47, ladies' shoes 35 to 45 and ladies' heel sandals 35 to 44. Larger men's sizes depend on the style, and we will tell you which models are available in your size. If your left and right feet differ, we usually fit the larger foot and use insoles or heel grips to fine-tune the smaller one.
How to prepare for your visit
- Come later in the day if possible, when feet are at their largest after walking.
- Wear or bring the socks or hosiery you normally use with the style you want.
- Bring a pair you wear often, so we can study the wear pattern.
- Bring any insoles or orthotics you use every day.

Once we know your measurements, you can choose from our ready-made men's and women's collections with more confidence.
